Muon Space is an end-to-end space systems provider founded in 2021, designing, building, and operating LEO satellite constellations that deliver mission-critical Earth intelligence for climate monitoring and national security applications. This Contracts and Legal Operations Manager role manages the day-to-day lifecycle of both commercial and government contracts across Muon's growing portfolio — including DoD, intelligence community, and civil agency programmes. The postholder will draft and review NDAs, teaming agreements, subcontracts, consulting and vendor agreements, and modifications; identify and escalate contractual risk; partner with the Growth and Mission Engineering teams through the full pre-award and post-award lifecycle; administer government procurement systems including SAM.gov, PIEE, and WAWF; and anchor the department's contract management workflows and records. The role offers direct mentorship from senior contracts counsel and broad scope across an active commercial space and defence contract portfolio — an excellent mid-career position for a contracts professional seeking to deepen their experience in the space sector. 4+ years of experience in contracts administration, management, or legal operations At least 2 recent years at a government defence contractor, intelligence community partner, or aerospace company Working knowledge of the FAR and its supplements Fluency with government contract portals including SAM.gov, PIEE, and WAWF Hands-on experience across the full contract lifecycle with FFP, SBIR, commercial, and OTA agreement types Experience partnering with growth or capture teams on RFP review and proposal support US Person status required for ITAR compliance Desirable: active TS security clearance or eligibility to obtain one Desirable: direct experience in aerospace, space systems, or satellite industry Desirable: NCMA Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM) certification Desirable: Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, law, finance, or a technical discipline
