Note: this position is advertised in French. Strong French proficiency is mandatory. Eutelsat Group is the world's first GEO-LEO integrated satellite operator, formed through the merger of Eutelsat and OneWeb. Directly engaged in international space policy, spectrum regulation, market access governance, and sovereign connectivity debates, Eutelsat's International and Institutional Affairs Directorate acts as the company's primary interface with governments, international organisations, and regulators worldwide. This apprenticeship is based within the International and Regulatory Affairs Directorate and provides direct support to the Director of International Affairs. The postholder will assist with Eutelsat's engagement with governments, embassies, and ministries; monitor international organisations and prepare Eutelsat's institutional positions; track geopolitical developments affecting the group's interests; draft briefing notes and materials for public and private sector decision-makers; and coordinate internally with commercial, regulatory (spectrum, market access), and finance teams. External interactions span ministries, embassies, regulators, NGOs, development finance institutions, universities, and think tanks — giving the apprentice broad exposure to the multilateral and bilateral dimensions of operating a global satellite operator. The role is particularly suited to Master's students in political science, international relations, or international law with an interest in the space or telecoms sector.
Currently enrolled in a Bac+5 programme (Master's level) in political science, international relations, law, public affairs, or engineering Fluent French and English mandatory; a third language is an asset (Spanish, Arabic, Portuguese) Strong written communication and synthesis skills Genuine interest in geopolitical issues, the space sector, and/or digital connectivity Autonomy, analytical mindset, and proactive work style Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite Desirable: prior experience in public administration, public affairs consultancy, or an international institution Desirable: familiarity with the space or telecommunications sector
