European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA)
The European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA) manages the commercialisation, security accreditation, and user uptake of the EU's core space infrastructure — Galileo, EGNOS, Copernicus, GOVSATCOM, and IRIS² — and operates the EU Space Surveillance and Tracking front-desk. As the EU space programme expands in strategic and geopolitical significance, EUSPA's relationships with EU institutions and Member State administrations have become increasingly central to its operational effectiveness. This Inter-institutional Stakeholder Relations Officer position is based in Brussels and sits directly within the Office of the Executive Director, serving as the Agency's primary interface with EU institutions — the European Parliament, Council, and Commission — and with the 27 Member State delegations. The postholder will implement and develop the Agency's interinstitutional engagement strategy, monitor EU legislative activity relevant to EUSPA's mandate, and provide strategic advice to top management on political and institutional developments. The role is directly relevant to space diplomacy and governance professionals with experience navigating EU institutional processes, offering a senior-level position at the nexus of space policy, European institutional relations, and the governance of sovereign EU space infrastructure. A SECRET UE / EU SECRET clearance is required. The post is a 5-year renewable Temporary Agent contract based in Brussels, with frequent missions to EUSPA headquarters in Prague.
