Its Aerospace and Defense practice advises major European defence and space industry clients on strategic and digital transformation, operating at the intersection of industrial strategy, emerging military technologies, and the rapidly evolving European defence market.
This (Senior) Director role is an executive-level advisory position leading client engagements across the Aerospace and Defense sector, with explicit scope across all military domains including Space. The postholder will advise C-suite and senior management on strategic transformation programmes — including software-defined and connected battlespace architectures, supply chain resilience, AI integration, and digital collaboration — while developing Capgemini Invent's long-term consulting portfolio in the sector.
The role is directly relevant to space security and defence policy professionals with consulting or industry backgrounds who have developed expertise in the European defence market and its governance frameworks. Responsibilities span client advisory, business development, offer development, and team leadership. The postholder will be expected to bring an established CxO-level network within European aerospace, defence, and space institutions and industry.
Requirements
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in strategy or management consulting or industry within the Aerospace and Defense sector
Clear focus on the European defence market with deep understanding of its business, technological, and regulatory environment
Knowledge spanning all military domains including Land, Air, Sea, Cyber, and Space
Established network at CxO and senior decision-maker level within A&D clients and partners
Strong go-to-market mindset and experience developing and winning client mandates
Fluency in German and English at minimum C1 level (both mandatory)
Entrepreneurial leadership profile with demonstrated ability to build and develop teams
