Stratolaunch is a hypersonic technology accelerator developing air-launched, reusable Talon testbeds capable of sustained Mach 5+ flight, with a mission focused on national security and advanced defence applications. This Government Relations Summer Intern works directly with the Senior Director of Government Relations in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities include tracking hypersonic-related legislation and appropriations, supporting meetings with congressional staff and Department of Defense officials, drafting briefing materials, and monitoring open-source intelligence on the defence industrial base.
For students in international security, public policy, or space and defence studies, this internship provides direct exposure to the legislative and regulatory environment shaping US hypersonic development and Pentagon priorities. US citizenship is required.
Requirements
Rising junior, senior, or graduate student in political science, public policy, government, international affairs, defence studies, or engineering policy
Familiarity with the US congressional process and defence policy preferred
Strong written and oral communication skills
US citizenship required; ability to obtain security clearance a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
