Astranis Space Technologies builds small, dedicated geostationary satellites for sovereign governments, enterprises, and the US military, with over $1 billion in commercial backlog and five satellites on orbit. This Government Contracts Manager role supports US Government contract administration and shapes Astranis's engagement with the federal regulatory environment.
The postholder will manage compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clauses, coordinate proposal submissions, and oversee monitoring of administrative proceedings across US and international government agencies. The role also encompasses policy and regulatory strategy, tracking the evolving framework for commercial space including spectrum authorisation, export controls, and civil space programme governance.
The role reports to the General Counsel and suits candidates combining legal training with familiarity with civil space institutions and defence acquisition. US citizenship or permanent residency is required.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required; J.D. is a plus but not required
Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and US Government contract structures
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing commercial space activities
Knowledge of civil space organisations including NASA and the Department of Defense
US citizenship or lawful permanent residency required (ITAR compliance)
Desirable: knowledge of EAR/ITAR and commercial SATCOM sector
