NASA's Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center (JSC) is the hub of U.S. human spaceflight operations. The Office of the General Counsel at JSC supports the Agency's legal functions, with this Attorney-Adviser position focused on federal employment and general law.
The role covers employment discrimination law, labour relations, and EEO litigation including representation before federal courts, the Merit Systems Protection Board, and the EEOC, as well as general law duties spanning fiscal matters, civil rights, ethics, environmental compliance, and information disclosure.
This position is relevant to space law and governance professionals interested in the institutional legal infrastructure of a national space agency. US citizenship is required.
Requirements
Juris Doctor (J.D.) or LL.B. from an ABA-accredited law school
Active bar membership in good standing in any US state, territory, or DC
GS-14: at least 1 year of specialised experience at GS-13 level in federal employment, labour, or EEO law
GS-15: at least 1 year of specialised experience at GS-14 level including independent litigation management
US citizenship required
