The Aerospace Corporation is a federally funded research and development center (FFRDC) serving as the trusted technical partner to the US national security space enterprise. Its National Systems Group supports the Intelligence Community (IC) and mission partners across national and tactical intelligence programmes. The National Intelligence Division within NSG directly supports the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), including NIC-Space — the National Intelligence Council's space mission management and analytic function, which oversees IC space intelligence and manages the Space Threat Assessment Cell (STAC). This Senior Technology and Policy Lead is embedded directly with ODNI/NIC-Space as a senior technical leader and trusted advisor, partnering with the Systems Director for Mission Integration to set the technical priorities of the Aerospace team and drive high-visibility initiatives on behalf of senior government stakeholders. Day-to-day responsibilities include framing complex intelligence and policy problems related to space programme analysis, capabilities, requirements, threats, and IC space architecture; assembling and leading multidisciplinary Aerospace teams to deliver decision-quality products; building senior relationships across IC organisations, national security space entities, and interagency forums; and mentoring senior and junior personnel. For space security professionals with deep IC or national security space backgrounds, this is one of the most consequential advisory positions available in the US space intelligence ecosystem — working at the apex of the IC's space mission integration function with direct access to ODNI senior leadership. A current and active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is mandatory; US citizenship required. 100% onsite in Tysons Corner.
