This role leads licensing and regulatory affairs for Amazon Leo (Kuiper) across the EMEA region, covering satellite earth station authorizations, electronic communications service compliance, and NGSO spectrum policy. The successful candidate will develop and execute licensing strategies across a portfolio of EMEA countries, engaging with national regulators, CEPT, ATU, and ITU to shape favourable regulatory frameworks for non-geostationary satellite systems. The position requires close cross-functional collaboration with legal, policy, business, and engineering teams to ensure compliance and enable service delivery at scale. The role also involves representing Amazon Leo in national and regional telecommunications bodies and building relationships with government officials. This is a strategically significant position as Amazon Leo seeks to expand broadband connectivity across the EMEA region.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines Experience in spectrum management, securing telecommunications service licenses, and ensuring regulatory compliance at an international level Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities Experience working directly with government officials and regulatory bodies Ability to work proactively and independently and deliver on deadlines Preferred: Experience establishing credibility with senior-level executives Preferred: Experience coordinating between technical teams, peers, and business stakeholders Preferred: Ability to complete complex tasks quickly with little guidance Preferred: Bachelor's degree or above in engineering or equivalent Must be eligible to obtain any required US export licenses or approvals (EAR/ITAR)
