The European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA) is responsible for the commercialisation and security of Galileo, EGNOS, and Copernicus, as well as secure satellite communications under GOVSATCOM and IRIS2, and operates the EU Space Surveillance and Tracking front-desk. This Contracts Officer position supports EUSPA's procurement and contract management functions across its operational departments.
The role is relevant to space governance professionals working at the intersection of EU institutional procurement law and the growing regulatory and operational footprint of the EU space programme. The postholder will manage the full lifecycle of contracts from tendering and evaluation to amendment and closure, ensuring compliance with EU financial regulations.
A SECRET UE / EU SECRET clearance is required. The post is offered as a 5-year renewable Temporary Agent contract.
Requirements
University degree of at least 3 years in a relevant discipline
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in contract management or public procurement
Nationality of an EU Member State, Iceland, Norway, or Switzerland
Minimum C1 proficiency in one EU language and B2 in another
Ability and willingness to obtain SECRET UE / EU SECRET security clearance
Experience with governance frameworks, regulatory compliance, and financial management preferred
