The U.S. Mission to the International Organizations in Vienna (UNVIE) is launching Project Constellation: Building a Constellation of Outer Space Partners at the United Nations — a long-term international partnership platform designed to strengthen collaboration among governments, industry, academia, entrepreneurs, and international organisations in the space domain. The initiative is anchored in Vienna's unique multilateral environment as host city of UNOOSA and the COPUOS Secretariat. Building on the successful inaugural U.S. Space Forum in 2025, Project Constellation will support capacity building in emerging space economies, advance practical implementation of COPUOS guidelines and non-binding best practices, promote US civil and commercial space engagement internationally, and strengthen innovation ecosystems and entrepreneurship in partner countries. The awarded organisation will support the 2026 U.S. Space Forum (15–16 October) and deliver programming across the full project lifecycle under a cooperative agreement with UNVIE. This opportunity is directly relevant to organisations working in space diplomacy, space governance capacity building, public diplomacy, or international space policy — and represents one of the most significant US government-funded multilateral space partnership investments currently open. One award of up to $5,000,000 is anticipated. Grant signing must be completed by 30 September 2026.
