The Prague Security Studies Institute (PSSI) is a leading Central European non-profit think tank founded in 2002, with space security as one of its primary research areas. Its Space Security Program, launched in 2010, has developed into an internationally recognised platform for research, analysis, and policy engagement on space security — with particular expertise in its economic and financial dimensions. PSSI organises the prestigious Prague Space Security Conference, one of the leading NGO-led international conference series dedicated to space security, and maintains an active network of international experts and policy decision-makers. This Project Coordinator position supports the implementation and development of the Space Security Program, with a central focus on the management, maintenance, and further development of PSSI's Space Security Database — a unique OSINT-based resource tracking economic and financial dimensions of the space security landscape. The postholder will conduct research and data collection, perform verification and analysis, write and proof publications, support conference and event organisation, and contribute to social media and promotional activities. For early-career space security researchers and analysts with Czech or Slovak language skills, this is a distinctive opportunity to join one of Central Europe's most active space security research environments, gain exposure to international policymakers and experts, and contribute to a programme with real influence on NATO and EU space security debates. Start date is November 2026.
