ispace Europe, the Luxembourg-based branch of global lunar exploration company ispace, is hiring a Senior Government Affairs & Policy Lead reporting directly to the CEO of ispace Europe. The role involves developing and executing ispace Europe's government affairs strategy, engaging with EMEA space agencies, EU institutions, ministries, and industry associations to generate business opportunities. The successful candidate will translate political, budgetary, and regulatory developments into actionable recommendations and shape institutional demand for lunar transportation, surface mobility, and space resource services. The role also includes developing policy positions, structuring strategic partnerships, and representing ispace Europe at high-level stakeholder engagements and industry fora. This is a senior, high-autonomy position at the intersection of space policy and commercial lunar exploration, directly supporting Europe's role in building a sustainable lunar economy.
Master's degree in public affairs, political science, communications or equivalent 7 years of experience in government affairs, public affairs, institutional business development, diplomacy or a closely related field Strong understanding of the EMEA institutional landscape, including ESA, national space agencies, EU institutions, ministries, public funding mechanisms, and policy-making processes Proven ability to engage senior public-sector stakeholders with credibility, discretion, and excellent judgment Ability to work autonomously in a small, high-trust team with strong expectation of personal ownership Commercial mindset: understanding that Government Affairs must support mission creation, public-sector revenue, strategic partnerships, and long-term market shaping Fluency in English; fluency in German, Italian or another language is an asset
