This Director of Business Development – National Security and Intelligence leads CesiumAstro's growth within the DoD and intelligence community, with responsibility for marketing, sales, opportunity identification, proposal development, and customer relationship management across the US national security space and aerospace telecommunications market. The postholder will develop and maintain continuous assessments of DoD and intelligence community market trends, lead RFI and RFP responses, interface with engineering teams on market requirements, and ultimately drive top-line revenue growth from US government customers. For space security professionals with established networks in the US national security space community and experience in classified business development, this is a senior, high-compensation role at a fast-growing commercial space company operating at the intersection of satellite communications, electronic warfare, and defence electronics. An active TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related discipline; Master's degree in a technical discipline or business/management desired Minimum 10 years of relevant business development experience in space or aerospace industry segments Prior experience leading new business capture activities and developing classified proposals in US national security markets Demonstrated background in solution selling and developing new markets with proven leadership from inception to successful engagement Knowledge of US Government contracting and current acquisition trends across DoD and intelligence community customers Effective presentation skills for senior decision-making and technical audiences Strong written communication and proposal writing skills US citizenship required with active TS/SCI security clearance (mandatory)
