U.S. Space Command (USSPACECOM) is the combatant command responsible for joint space operations, currently relocating its headquarters to Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Alabama. The J82 directorate leads programming advocacy and requirements synchronisation across all mission areas of the command, with a particular focus on unfunded priorities and the Integrated Priority List. This Program Analyst position serves as a headquarters-level analyst responsible for articulating and developing command requirements through the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process. The postholder will support development of Unfunded Priority initiatives, integrate and advocate for USSPACECOM future concepts and emerging technology needs, develop commander's PPBE submissions, brief the command's top leadership and congressional engagements, and prepare executive-level products including ghost emails, memorandums, and after-action reports on behalf of Commander USSPACECOM. This is a high-visibility civilian role at the heart of U.S. space capability investment advocacy, offering direct engagement with Joint Staff, CAPE, OSD, and congressional stakeholders.
