About the position

U.S. Space Command (USSPACECOM) is the combatant command responsible for joint space operations and ensuring the United States maintains space superiority. Currently relocating its headquarters to Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Alabama — the heart of the U.S. defence and space industrial base — USSPACECOM is building out its civilian workforce ahead of the full transition. This Program Analyst position in the J82 directorate serves as the primary focal point for scheduling and managing senior leader engagements across USSPACECOM's top-three leadership. The postholder will deconflict complex calendars, synchronise engagements with the Joint Staff, CAPE, and OSD, and develop executive-level read-aheads, summaries, and professional products for senior decision-makers. Working knowledge of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process as it applies to space systems is essential — the role requires anticipating leadership needs and contextualising programmatic and financial data for senior staff. For space policy professionals with government or military backgrounds, this position offers daily exposure to USSPACECOM's most critical strategic initiatives, senior decision-making processes, and the full architecture of space capability advocacy at the combatant command level. A TS/SCI security clearance is required. Applications are direct — no USAJOBS; resumes submitted by email only.
