About the position

Analysys Mason is an award-winning specialist management consultancy for technology-intensive industries, advising businesses, investors, and governments across telecoms, digital infrastructure, software, IT services, space, and defence. With 400+ professionals across 17 offices in 13 countries and project delivery in more than 140 countries, the firm has built a four-decade reputation for deep analytical insight and advanced economic modelling at the intersection of technology, regulation, and strategy. This Research Analyst position sits within Analysys Mason's dedicated space practice, producing original thought-leading content and market research reports used by globally recognised organisations in their strategic decision-making. The postholder will gather and analyse data on space market developments, model forecasts, identify trends, and communicate findings through reports, presentations, and visualisation tools — progressively taking sole responsibility for defined fields of study as experience grows. For professionals with backgrounds in space policy, economics, or market analysis, this role offers a platform to develop deep sector expertise within a commercially respected advisory environment, with direct client exposure and representation at major industry events and conferences. The space practice covers the full value chain — launch, satellites, ground infrastructure, downstream applications, and the evolving regulatory and investment landscape — making it directly relevant to the Orbital Diplomat community's interests in the economics and governance of commercial space.
