About the position

World Space Week Association (WSWA) is the organiser of World Space Week, the largest space event on Earth, celebrated annually from 4–10 October in over 100 countries under a UN General Assembly mandate. WSWA coordinates a global network of national coordinators, partner organisations, and volunteers to mobilise public engagement with space exploration, science, and policy — making it one of the most internationally distributed civil society platforms in the space sector. WSWA is recruiting three volunteer roles for 2026: a National Coordinators Manager, responsible for overseeing interactions with the global coordinator network, collecting and editing event reports, managing onboarding, and updating coordinator pages; a Media Volunteer, to document World Space Week activities, support media partnerships, and capture compelling visual and narrative content; and a TikTok Volunteer, to research relevant content and create short-form video for WSWA's TikTok audience. These unpaid roles offer practical experience in international community management, digital communications, and space outreach within a globally recognised UN-affiliated organisation. They are particularly well suited to students and early-career professionals seeking to build networks and experience in the space sector. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
